Our client, a premier Air Conditioning and Ventilation Distribution Centre based in Bedford, is renowned for its commitment to quality and service. Position: Warehouse Operative (Night Shift)
Location: Bedford
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7pm to 4am
Hourly Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading goods from delivery vans or lorries
- Checking that the correct quantity and type of goods have been received
- Recording any damaged, missing or faulty goods
- Signing off and labeling goods
- Storing goods in the correct storage areas
- Picking and packing orders with accuracy
- Preparing dispatch notes and labels
- Operating handling equipment and forklift trucks (if licensed)
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Good English communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and managing paperwork.
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A forklift license is preferable but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to night shift work.
