The Transport Planner role opportunity for our client based in Bedford.
You will need to be able to work within a small friendly team but also independently to complete your workload within the time allocated.
Hours and Days :
14:00 – 23:00 Monday – Friday
Rate Of Pay:
£14.25 per hour
Key Duties:
- Work in conjunction with another transport planner to ensure that all orders received have a transport provider allocated.
- Route plan all of our own fleet deliveries.
- Currently we operate with a fleet of 10 vehicles, visiting an average of 75 customers per day, rising towards 100 during peak periods of the year.
- Book 3rd party carriers when required.
- Complete driver debriefs.
- Ensuring our vehicles are booked for scheduled servicing and maintenance in accordance with agreed guidelines.
Desired Experience:
Must have expectance of routing multi drop deliveries around the UK, along with having strong Excel skills.
