Are you looking for a new opportunity as a Shutter Door Engineer? We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Ampthill.
Role: Shutter Door Engineer
As a Door Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and repair of rolling and sliding/folding shutters supplied by us to the construction industry. While an electrical qualification is advantageous for roller shutters, it is not essential. The ideal candidate should be physically fit and able-bodied, as this role requires good core and upper body strength for lifting and carrying components and tools in accordance with our RAMS. Skills in cutting and drilling steel and timber, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a small team with strong on-site communication skills are essential. Safety is paramount to the company and its staff, so candidates must be team players and abide by the rules. Some early morning starts and overnight work may be required due to shopping centre access or airport projects.
Clients
Company projects primarily involve new builds within shopping centres, airports, and motorway service stations, offering a clean and dry working environment. They tend to avoid High Street and corner shop installations, focusing on clients such as WH Smith, Boots, World Duty Free, Moto Services, Welcome Break, Harrods, Sainsburys, Spec Savers, Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Westfield/Arndale, Merry Hill Shopping centres, and all major UK airports.
Location of Work
The work is nationwide, with the main base in Ampthill. Engineers take company vans home for business use only. The van will be assigned to the engineer furthest from the next day’s location, and you will pick up your teammate en route to the site. Night work or overnight stays may be required to complete projects due to project size or geographic location. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.
