MACHINE OPERATOR (QUILTING) REQUIRED IN BEDFORD AREA!

We are excited to announce a job opportunity for the position of Machine Operator (Quilting) at our company based in Bedford. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team on a full-time basis, offering a competitive hourly rate of £12.00

Job Description: As a Machine Operator (Quilting), you will play a crucial role in our production process. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Operating and monitoring quilting machines: You will be responsible for setting up and operating quilting machines, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes adjusting machine settings, loading materials, and monitoring the quality of the output.
  2. Quality control: You will be responsible for conducting regular quality checks on quilted products to ensure they meet our high standards. Identifying and addressing any issues or defects will be part of your daily routine.
  3. Material handling: You will be responsible for handling and preparing materials for the quilting process, including fabric rolls, batting, and other necessary supplies.
  4. Maintenance and troubleshooting: It will be your responsibility to perform routine maintenance on the quilting machines and troubleshoot any operational issues that may arise during production.
  5. Following safety guidelines: You will strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, we require the following qualifications and skills:

  1. Experience in machine operation would be preferable but not essential: Prior experience as a machine operator, particularly with quilting machines, is highly desirable. However, we are also open to training individuals with a strong aptitude for learning and a keen interest in the field.
  2. Attention to detail: A high level of attention to detail is crucial to ensure accurate and precise quilting work and to maintain our quality standards.
  3. Physical stamina: The role involves standing for extended periods, lifting heavy materials, and operating machinery, so good physical stamina is essential.
  4. Ability to work independently: While you will be part of a team, you should also be comfortable working independently, following instructions, and making decisions when necessary.
  5. Reliability and punctuality: We value reliable and punctual individuals who can consistently meet production targets and adhere to work schedules.

Working Days and Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 06:30- 16:00

Friday: 08:00-13:00

Full Training Given, no experience required!
