About Our Client: The company is a well-established sheet metal fabrication company known for delivering high-quality solutions to its clients. They are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metalworker to join their team. If you have experience in sheet metalworking and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.
Job Description: As a Sheet Metalworker, you will be responsible for various sheet metalworking tasks, including breaking out and deburring laser-cut blanks, stud welding, using a feed-through grainer, and general assembly work. You will also be involved in filing and cleaning sheet metal before and after welding operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform breaking out and deburring tasks on laser-cut blanks.
- Utilize a feed-through grainer to finish sheet metal components.
- Carry out stud welding operations.
- Use a Pem Serter for fitting bushes and studs.
- Perform filing and cleaning of sheet metal to ensure quality welding.
- Participate in general assembly work as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sheet metalworking, with a minimum of 1 year preferred.
- Familiarity with press brake operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to use various hand and power tools.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
Compensation:
- Salary: £11.50-£12.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
