They are a well-established company specializing in the shopfitting industry, known for delivering high-quality fixtures and fittings to retail spaces across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled CAD Draughtsman to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to take on a critical role in their design team.
Job Description
As a CAD Draughtsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate technical drawings for shopfitting fixtures using Inventor software. Your role will involve working closely with project managers, designers, and production teams to ensure all designs meet project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for shopfitting fixtures, fittings, and layouts.
- Work with Inventor software to design and modify technical drawings according to project requirements.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure drawings are accurate and reflect client needs.
- Interpret architectural plans and sketches, converting them into precise CAD drawings.
- Make revisions and updates to drawings as necessary, ensuring all changes are documented.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including technical specifications and design records.
- Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CAD Draughtsman in the shopfitting or related industry.
- Proficiency in Inventor software or similar CAD programs.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality technical drawings.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Preferred: Experience in the shopfitting, interior design, or construction industries.
